Friday - Seven Layers and Counting
Had a very interesting day in which I needed to go to a Photoshop class in the morning, work (and our presentation) in the afternoon through evening, concluding with a crazy party at The Tribeca Grand Hotel till 4 am... Now, I am one of those people who carries way more than is necessary, and it spills over into the way I dress too (so it's no wonder I love the Winter so much...). In this case, I thought it would be a good idea to deconstruct all the layers instead of just posting one shot as each layer seems to get more and more interesting... For your viewing pleasure I've included pretty much the only song I remember dancing particularly crazily too:
Home (RAC Mix) - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
Feeling toasty yet? [Final Home Hood, Issey Miyake Cloaklet, Zara Scarf]

Inside clothes [Kansai Yamamoto Jacket]

With a portal in the back! (My header for this post is a closer look at said door) There will be a more in depth look at this wondrous Ebay find in another post. For now feel free to admire its lovely construction in the back and sleeves. Yumm!

Party Time! Got worried someone would steal my soul door (that's what I'm calling it and I won't hear a word of how weird that is!) [Ivan Grundhal green jacket]

Still too many layers (I don't drink and everyone thought I was off my rocker, still haven't figured out what happened that night...) [Y-3 Long sheer black cardigan, Ivan Grundhal tulle cardigan, Topman long black henley]

The day after... Headache and pain all over. Somehow I ended up down to this layers going mad crazy that night... Someone tell me what happened again? [Uniqlo flannel shirt, Ivan Grundhal skirt, Mesh leggings bought in Hong Kong, over Miami wallpaper print leggings from Beacons Closet and finally my trusty Alejandro Ingelmo sneakers]

So handsome!
Why can't I have a boyfriend as cute as you?

Finally snapped out of that blogging slump, I am so glad! Great outfit as always, only you can get away with all this lunatic layer-caking.
I really like the header photo you did, looks like your own take on what Steve does on the beginning of major Style Salvage posts. Perhaps you could make this a regular thing on your blog?
And why do I not remember this song playing at the Tribeca Grand? It's loverly
Anonymous : Why thank you
Izzy: Feels mighty good to be out of it. I'm writing more posts as we speak so I can have them scheduled to post later on in the week.
Well I kind of like how my posts appear on bloglovin with the first photo being the header photo. Deff will be doing this more in the future.
I remember the song, because I was sober.... :P
Soul door!!!!! Perfect. Great proportions back to front with the jacket and the V. Number five is just sweet. XO
Your Yamamoto jacket is insane!!
AutumnDanielle - I love you so much! Isn't the soul door cool? I'm going to write a whole post on the jacket linking it with my sci-fi clothing fetish. Is it worth coming up to visit you for 1 day only? I really want to see you :).
Tom - I had to take it off in the party because I was worried someone would steal the door right off my back!
This is one of the most intense layering numbers I've seen you take on yet, and that's saying a lot. Really spectacular, as always, am particularly taken with the Kansai jacket (off EBAY?!) with the strange portal thing in the back. Also love the bustling effect going on.
xx
Tiffany
you are a layering addict and it looks good on you!

Tiffany - I think I've probably layered more intensely in the past but I've never done something where I've dissected all the many many layers lol. The Kansai jacket is off Ebay from one of my new favourite sellers, such a good find! Also I've loved creating this psuedo-victorian bustling effect with skirts'n'shit lol I think its an interesting silhouette on me.
Amber - I'm also an Amber addict and I'm getting withdrawals :(
you're proper going for it in this outfit, good on your lad
Mat - its funny because I feel so much more me and natural when I have a million weird layers on than if i'm wearing something a little more simple I guess. It's almost like armour/a comfy armchair...
